He composed this in 1976 - fantastic arrangement. Just playing this on a keyboard. I can rock the neighbours. A knockout!

great song, timeless classic. Most of it though, including the big orchestral sound was down to Alan Parsons who is a genius arranger and producer IMO. Scarcely gets a mention. My mom's favourite all time song and she's 80 !

Very true - Alan Parsons also had a great talent for getting the best out of artists such as John Miles and Floyd but I always found his solo (APP) work impressive but rather sterile by comparison.

When this was a hit (Easter 1976) I was away in the Highlands of Scotland and never got to see it on TOTP. Thanks YouTube - I've finally seen it 33 years later!
