What is it?

???

That's what we'd like to know !!!

A unique creature previously unknown in the annals of Zoology has been recently discovered in the city of Hull.
Zoologists are scratching their heads in wonder as we ask the people of Hull and beyond to tell us what it is.

Found on an allotment where it has been hidden for over forty years. the creature is currently on display at Hull Maritime Museum where it will remain until the 24th of July, then it will be taken to the British Museum for more extensive analysis.

Preliminary findings of zoologists have already yielded some rather interesting results, for example:

"The large skull in relation to the body size of the creature suggests a high encephalization quotient (EQ), the ratio of brain to body mass used as a rough estimate of the possible intelligence of an organism. This suggests that the animal could have had a level of intelligence similar to that of the 'higher' primates such as chimpanzees and humans."
Dr. Timothy Ludolus, Zoologist, University of Lincolnshire and Cumberland.

Reportedly brought to Hull sometime in 1944 by a soldier returning from North Africa who, for reasons of his own, has kept it in a metal box on an allotment since the early 1960's.
These remarkably well preserved remains are on view at the above mentioned museum for all to see, now. The museum is open from 10 til 5 moonday to saturnday.

A booklet accompanying the exhibit, and containing background history, zoological reports, and mythological contexts for the creature, is available from the museum shop for fifty pence.

A book has been made available so that the people of Hull can investigate the creature for themselves and tell us what it is... Some of the comments so far:

  • Goddamn that sucks...omg lost 1:06 minutes of my life.....plz no more stupid shit

  • Between surfing the web and playing your Xbox I guess much in life will pass you by...

  • This is a complete hoax. If you search for "Zoo and Logical Times" on google, you will find a band of gypsies carrying this thing from one town to another trying to gather attention. It was famous (and even gained credit) because they stopped by a legit museum. Curiosity faded once the gypsies left that place...

  • Its a Bombay duck!

  • its whale doo.doo

  • It does look a bit like ALF.

  • Anyone who can't see the resemblance clearly wasn't a 90's kid.

  • Anyone who seriously thinks it looks like anything from television or movies, (especially alf or a rock creature from the power rangers movie) - is an idiot.

  • But right now all the signs are pointing to big hoax to get more people to visit the museum.

  • would've been cooler if you/whoever took and made the video had actually shown the damn thing instead of just running through the exhibits and being an ass about "it's from the water" blah blah blah then not showing it....unless it's a stupid hoax (which it probably is...unfortunately most such things are) then it's possibly the remains (and therefore proof) of something like the kelpie or other unusual creature existing.

  • I think it looks like Alf. Or sort of like one of those rock creatures from the first Power Rangers movie.
