Kawasaki Mach (MACH) is a generic name of the motorcycle series of the on-road type with two stroke three cylinder engine by which Kawasaki Heavy Industries was doing the manufacturing sales.

500 that began selling in North America in 1969 The success of cc (H1) was received, and displacement 250 in the model in 1972 cc (S1) and 350 cc (It was 400 in the S2 back S3 of cc) and 750 Three models of cc (H2) were added, two stroke three cylinder car group of four models in total was formed, and this was called a Mach series. In addition, S1, S2, and S3 that the large displacement model of H1 and H2 was called "Big Mach (Big Mach)", and the displacement is small (The frame is also different) were called "Middle Mach (middle Mach)" and it was distinguished occasionally.

The name of these models was used for the pet name of this "Mach" with KH (series) by the model
until changing in 1976.

"SS" was not added after an official displacement by the car for export for the name of the model for Japan as for this "SS" (The example: Kawasaki 500 SS Mach III etc.), and the model name is given to "Kawasaki 500 MachIII H1" and the displacement.

Z650 is announced in 1975, and H2 disappears in the pass type ..this... All KH series will withdraw from North America next year because of exhaust gas/noise regulation. 250 to be able to expect demand in the relation etc. of the driving license system excluding North America/ 500 had this and the model disappeared though 400 continued. It is 250 in the end as for the model in 1980/ It was produced for Japan until about 1983 though export for 400 Europe was ended, too.

Air cooling two stroke three cylinders 500 that had been put on the market in 1969 As for Mach III (H1) of cc, popularity came to be deprived gradually when HONDA CB750 was put on the market a little delaying though the price was about 1.5 times the performance without the great difference though it was popular from the strong acceleration in Europe and America.

Kawasaki is 750 already before this Marketing because of assumption as the change in all respects to model (Z1) more than CB by the appearance of this HONDA CB750 becoming after 1972 became clear though it started the development of four cc 4 stroke cylinder car.

Therefore, the boa stroke of the H1 engine is expanded to accelerate at least and to overwhelm CB at maximum speed as the rival candidate between those (That is, velocity of the world) and 750 Having assumed cc is Mach IV (H2).
