My grandfather, Gaston Auclair, was a sports commentator for the french-speaking radio station CJSO in Sorel, QC (Canada), and he was covering the event.
I've a wonderful recording of its comments of the second game. I post it on YouTube.
It's amazing to see there still pasionate people over here!

Hi Mickey this is the old timer from Yonkers NY Talk about being an old time Yankee fan We used to sit in the bleachers for 25 cents [lol] .Greatest thrill as a fan . In 1969 was invitedto a Yankee -Washinton Senators game at Stadium Frind of mine recived tickets from Frank Howard who wasin the service with his brother We ended the night in the Rooevelt Grill Having a few beers. Got to meet manager Ted Williams
