Prized for its anti-ageing properties, argan oil is used in cosmetics the world over. Its popularity is giving women who produce the oil in southwestern Morocco a much needed income and is breathing new life into a barren desert area.

  • good, morocco is moving forward, even with a very low budget

  • It reminds me of those "micro loans" that Cambodian fellow was giving to the women of his country. They put the money to work unlike the husbands who would drink or gamble it away. And they repay the loans. "Under cutting third world labour." Isn't that just the way of the world. They could probably get it done cheaper in India, by "undesirables". Save three or four dollars a gallon. What a Wonderful World.

  • Gods! The Multi-Nationals even undercut third world labor! Thank the Good Gods Morocco's Government isn't as whored out as the US's Govt. or these women would have been SOoL.
