Strange to see a pack NYI arena and such loud passionate fans. Now the NYI arena is half empty and the fans don't give a crap.
-
Now only ghosts in an empty arena

If u slow down the film in steps u see islanders were not off side....folks so let it rest now...okay

@Cheessa true, i think no other dynasty ever had the depth of the 80- 84 isalnders. goaltending, defense, offence, toughness, coaching, finesse you name it. 19 consecutive playoff series wins will never happen again.

@industrialsun yet all those teams you just mentioned had to beat the better seeded teams, so either way, they were pretty good.

Surprisingly good picture quality here.

according to that logic, if my team didnt lose they would have won 10 straight! if not for the flukes in the other 9 years!

@NYIJK10 Whoa, back up for a second. Yeah, Isles beat #1 Flyers in 1980 Final and #1 Oilers in 1983 Final, but remember teams that Isles had to play in 1981 and 1982? Toughest opponent in 1981 playoffs: Minnesota, #9 out of 21 teams, in 1982 playoffs: NYR, #7 out of 21. 10 of those 19 series were against #7s or lower. In 5 years that Oilers won their Cups, they had to beat 3 #1s (Flyers, Bruins, Flames), a #2 (Flyers), and a #3 (Isles). Props to NYI dynasty, but don't go too far overboard.
THE RANGERS SUCK!

Wow, that is so inaccurate and misguided I can't even believe it. And that's ignoring the fact that Gretzky is only one player, the rest of that Oilers team was completely inferior to the Islanders cast.
