  • did it have to be tuned?

  • @bodebldr2000 Yes. BBK says that it doesn't require a tune, but that's not true.

  • @YourMKArcadeSource really? damn, nice to know that! Thanks

  • @bodebldr2000 Doesn't actually NEED it, but your engine will run lean due to the increased air flow and turn your "check engine" light on. You can turn it off, but it will come back. That's what happened to me and a lot of other people.

  • Your box has no bottom! All that engine heat, what a shame. I like my $300 Airaid CAD vs. this god knows how much CAI.

  • @TheCottonTop Of course it has no bottom. Where do you think the cold air is coming from? It's sealed around the top by the hood. If the bottom was closed off too, then you wouldn't get ANY air flow. Oh, and this kit is $279.

  • @YourMKArcadeSource I put mine on today, no tune. Runs good but id love a tune done on it to increase my HP. I cant see dropping 300+ bucks on a bully dog right now. Hopefully ill find someone that can do it for me.

  • Can You install Just the filter on the Stock hose?

  • The front of the BBK shroud is supposed to go under the radiator support plate where you lift up the plastic to show @2:00. That plate gets unbolted and the shroud goes under it, then that plate gets bolted back down. No parts were missing.

  • hey I just installed the BBK cold air intake that doesnt require a tune onto my 2007 GT, and after the install when i began to drive it around I could here like a suction nose. When i investigated, it sounded like it came from the air filter. I checked all the couplers for leaks and stuff...but i didnt find any? so i was wondering if that suction noise is what is suppose to happen or did i install it wrong? the noise is strongest at low RPMs when the engine doesnt drone out the sound?
