why would you put a thicker wall on outside if its facing the sun, also you need a water pump, and insulated so it doesnt freeze in winter, with a thermometer inside tank and on roof's pipe

you need the hot water entering at the bottom of the tank, not the top, would counter act the flow of what you are trying to do.

It's a good idea but I believe you are missing some very important calculations. Like gravity, pressure, unstable environmental conditions. I am not doubting you because I don't claim to fully understand everything but I think you are going to run into some major issues.
