@boulops this comment is old but i want to reply it.He means that you already know how to simplify it.teachers can't explain every step they do every time they explain something,it would become a very long lesson.if someone doesn't know how to simplify,has to just search a lesson about it.It's just my opinion

this is random...but could u do a variable that represents something equals a cost? example, x=cost per basket of blueberries, $4.50 per basket

then in a equation, 7y+9(4.50)=....
