Progression Creator creates progressions to play in Progression player. Using this will unknowingly increase your theory without you knowing! Easy to use and powerful, you can creat 1,2,3 or 4 bar progressions that you can learn to solo, comp or sing over. An invaluable practice aid, just one of dozens in Guitar Freak Workstation available from www.prolevelguitar.com

  • Four words: Band In A Box

  • Actually, I own band in a box and this is quite different. This plays progressions that you create using key centers that you select - this means that if you have a lick that works over II-V, you can try it in all keys. Vastly different than Band in a box

  • You can do the same thing in BIAB.

Under the song title (and to the right of the style) there is a drop down transposition menu.

  • The difference is you have to stop BIAB, pull down the combo box and then start it again. The progression trainer takes a progression you choose or made and plays it in every key center chosen. I made this feature because BIAB didn't have it. I do like BIAB and have been an avid supporter of PGMusic. The progression trainer is just one of the 18 features of Guitar Freak Workstation (including sight-reading for Guitarists and Bass players!

  • this program is bad ass

  • I didn't realize that you were the developer. Far be it from me to interfere with a man plying his trade.

I have to admit, having looked around the GFW website, that it's an impressive tuition package. BIAB isn't really set up for that--even though I've figured out how to use it as such--at all. GFW also seems to incorporate many of the features of other programs I use, such as Chord Wizard Gold and Absolute Fretboard Trainer. Pas mal... pas mal du tout.
