I had a csection incision about 2 years ago to remove a fibroid on my fallopian tube. I notice now that I have lost weight and I'm working out more that I have a "pouch" affect and my abs seem to not go down or tone down. Is there anything I can do since my surgery was so long ago to get flat abs.

I had a csection 19 months ago, would it still work for me if I start doing this now? or is it too late? I wish I found this video a bit earlier when I had a csection.. =/ my scar looks horrible and I think it's because I had no idea that I was suppose to massage it.

This is a nice video but I really wish the demonstrator would have make a more realistic scar line, it seems way to small. :( I know mine is is about 5-6 inches long.

It takes about 12 weeks for a c-section scar to fully heal, inside and out.

@llechpt. No worries, I started them as soon as it felt right and when I can be bothered I use Vitamin E oil on it when massaging. It seems to be doing really well. Thanks again :)

@carolynita Sorry to take so long in answering but once the scar is well healed you can start massaging. The numbness lasts for quite a while as the nerves regenerate very slowly. Good luck with this.

Doctors should know more about this. How long after the c-section does it usually take to safely try each one of these massages? Right now I can't imagine on trying the second or third.
Thank you for posting this!

This is really interesting and i have never come across such information before. However, my c-section scar is nearly 7 years old and i think it may well be too late to start this as I won't see any improvement now, or am I wrong? This should be more publicised.

Hi, I just had a myomectomy which was performed by C-section. It's been 7 days since the surgery and the incision seems to be healing well but the whole section is annoyingly numb. How long should I wait before starting these exercises? Thank you :)
