If you've had any abdominal surgery this video is for you. Scar tissue forms and needs to be manipulated to help prevent adhesions and future problems like low back pains or bladder problems of frequency or urgency. This video shows you how to massage your abdominal/ c-section scar.

  • ihad a csection on nov , 2o , 2o11 , iam a teen mom this has been a terrible experience it hurts alot sumtimes ifeel weird iget cramps i guess because iam still bleeding, mi scar is like the bikini & it feels very uncomfertable when iwear pants or underwears, ihave 9 weeks with my csection yes it gotten better but iam trully sad because iwanna work out & actually do sumthing, will this massage help me? & shud i start now or wait 12 weeks?

  • I had a csection incision about 2 years ago to remove a fibroid on my fallopian tube. I notice now that I have lost weight and I'm working out more that I have a "pouch" affect and my abs seem to not go down or tone down. Is there anything I can do since my surgery was so long ago to get flat abs.

  • I had a csection 19 months ago, would it still work for me if I start doing this now? or is it too late? I wish I found this video a bit earlier when I had a csection.. =/ my scar looks horrible and I think it's because I had no idea that I was suppose to massage it.

  • This is a nice video but I really wish the demonstrator would have make a more realistic scar line, it seems way to small. :( I know mine is is about 5-6 inches long.

  • It takes about 12 weeks for a c-section scar to fully heal, inside and out.

  • @llechpt. No worries, I started them as soon as it felt right and when I can be bothered I use Vitamin E oil on it when massaging. It seems to be doing really well. Thanks again :)

  • @carolynita Sorry to take so long in answering but once the scar is well healed you can start massaging. The numbness lasts for quite a while as the nerves regenerate very slowly. Good luck with this.

  • Doctors should know more about this. How long after the c-section does it usually take to safely try each one of these massages? Right now I can't imagine on trying the second or third.

    Thank you for posting this!

  • This is really interesting and i have never come across such information before. However, my c-section scar is nearly 7 years old and i think it may well be too late to start this as I won't see any improvement now, or am I wrong? This should be more publicised.

  • Hi, I just had a myomectomy which was performed by C-section. It's been 7 days since the surgery and the incision seems to be healing well but the whole section is annoyingly numb. How long should I wait before starting these exercises? Thank you :)
