Charles Mingus - Work Song

"Work Song" was the first Mingus composition with a socially conscious title and message. This is the only truly representative composition in the album "Mingus at the Bohemia", recorded during a live concert in 1955.

@obassmanc there is a classic nat adderley tune named work song, which is covered by everybody (bert jansch works it into his version of davey graham's "angie", which paul simon also covers as an instrumental, but without the "work song" quote). i believe paul butterfied did a wellknown version of work song.
