I think these are longleaf pines from down south. I folded up the seeds in a damp paper towel. I had them frozen for a month than off and on freezing for the next 60 days.

  • THEY ALL DIED!!!!

Heavy rains & moving them down a few steps gave them many more hours of sunlight.

The trunks shrank and twisted. The heads lowered and then they toppled. sad...

  • @kkiixx22 I have a trouble to translpant small seedlings..i read that you should translpant them with soil only..so next time i will dig up it with soil.

  • @andreilucaci81 This pot was pretty large. I think i would have tried to let the tree grow pretty big before placing it outside. If the soil was dry, i could have placed my hand over the top, and tried to tap out the plant with all the dirt. If I was going to dig this out at this stage, I would have dug 1/3 of that side of the pot, pretty deep.

Some seedling pots are biodegradable and can be placed directly into larger pot or the ground.

  • This is not a spam

But, if you want to, you can check my Fir and Pines at =)

I come from norway, so my english might be bad.

  • I have been taking photos and will compile them into another video once it reaches what they call the "grass" stage.

I believe it's a tree exclusive to the United States. Not the biggest pine the the world but one of the biggest.

I will ask my mother-in-law if she has more seeds. I would love to mail you some.

    Thanks for your link.

  • cool ;) what date did you plant these?

  • About one to two weeks before shooting this video.
