On request a video of how I put on my Tauren costume.
It takes me around 10 minutes to get dressed. That actually surprised me, because it felt a lot longer.
I need one person to zip me up, and to connect the head to my support-thingy around the legs. In this case it was my cameraman (my mother) and I think it was so fast because she knows the insides of the Tauren pretty well.

Yeah, my undergarments and the swimming cap are pretty ugly, but I really don't care, because they are functional and that's all that counts for survival in this costume.
For long-term use I tape a water-supply to my helmet inside the head. Without I wouldn't last longer than 30 minutes.
It's all about survival...

  • How much you paid to make the cosplay? Can you tell us? And nice job, i loved it!

  • @Kisame99 So far It's about 300€, but I friend gave me the fur as a present. It used to be a plaid and a family heirloom. Until it's finished there will be at last 500€ in materials in it. That I can tell.

  • Good point on the challange, although did the challenge beat you or have you kept on going with the project? Put some faith in it, its awsome!

  • @Sinkatze

Nah, I'm still on it. But due to money and time issues it's making very slow progress. Perhaps I'm doing a video on my progress so far next time around.

  • Wow! Truly impressive costuming - I especially like how you designed it to give you that extra bulk and height; it really transforms you. Did you document your work on a forum or website? I'm really curious about how you pulled it all together! From one costumer to another, I gotta say, your work is remarkable.

  • @zhananna

Well, there are some blog-entrys at a german community, of course in german.

But there are pictures, too, if you are still interested, pm me.

And don't be suprised there are some working steps on there which didn't go into the "finished" design. Well, it was all trial and error, and lots of it.

  • Hey awsome costume! You did a great job there!!

Maybe it would have been easier to make the female tauren since they aren't so curved as the male?

Well awsome, guess the hardest costume to make of all races.

  • Much better than some one painting themself blue and putting a bikini on. Looks really really good and looks like it took effort.
