United Conservationists is a different kind of conservation group. We believe in you, in humanity, and the fact that we are all inherently good deep down inside. In fact, we've already proven it ....
Rob Stewart introduces United Conservationists.
In April 2002, photographer Rob Stewart set out to make a film to save sharks. After five years, 12 countries, attempted murder charges, arrests, espionage, corrupt governments, and massive public action, the film Sharkwater was born. What happened next was as inspiring as it was addictive. People around the world rallied around sharks and took action many thought impossible; starting dozens of NGOs, lobbying governments, and changing policy all over the world. Sharkwater resulted in massive change for sharks, brought an incredibly passionate team together, and created United Conservationists, a revolutionary NGO committed to inspiring and enabling the same types of successes on a much broader scale.
Now, UC is positioned to take on a wider range of issues from sharks to tigers to lemurs to ocean acidification. Led by charismatic and bold conservationists like Rob Stewart, Tristan Bayer and Julie Andersen, people around the globe are joining the revolution and becoming United Conservationists themselves.
