I used to get perfect grades.
Until I lost belief in America and the public education system. I'm much smarter on my own, yet some of my As are now Bs.
If they paid me, I would be so motivated I would 100% flat out work as hard as I could, so I could study into art and grow my fucking brain.
But there is no motivation, only stress.
