imac fan noise

1 week imac 24" has strange noise coming out from inside CPU fan

after 2 weeks it stopped being loud .. now it works perfect

If you have to use a Mic to let people listen, is it that big of a deal?

it is because camera mic isn't so sensitive as human ear

just phoned apple....

-turn off your computer

-unplug the power cord and anything else plugged in

-hold down the power button for ten seconds

-plug everything back in

-hold down cmd, alt, P and R and turn on your system still holding the keys down until it makes the start up noise for the SECOND time then release

worked perfectly for me. it basically resets the power levels on everything including the fans and the problem was that one fan was receiving too much power.

none of mine have had fan issues ever.

and it is the same with any brand a few from every batch have issues, its just apple has a smaller range of computers which means that you hear about it more
