this guy is all theory smack. heprobably doesnt even own a hammer and could not build a cell from kit form. dont allow him to waste your time. he is trying to make you pissed off cos he thinks this makes him smarter than you. feel proud that he has to resort to this to feel like a winner. i think your great even if you do to and i value you even if you do to . he just cant handle the truth!

i have to agree with smack here mate but i will tell you why! when you go to school to figure out physical mysteries like this you pretty much learn someone else opinion that get passed on to people like you. were smack and me and countless others involved think for ourselves first hand and then involve the prediscovered principles rather than trying to fit everything in to a pre conceived parameter that was created 100 or more years ago!

i think the word critical was even an understatment. i think absolutely essential as i made 100 cylinder cells and had them banded together in a tub and filled 5mm from the top and had major differences in output. i tend to look at it from a cancelling perpective rather than enhancing perspective.if they are not aligned you can pretty much cancel out ampdraw at 2 volts with this setup. if you want more info i can draw what i mean.

I have found the highest efficiency between 1.8 and 1.9VDC - generally.

It's because you are running 2.3VDC per cell
