Kenneth Carllile AKA Thumbs Carlisle single handly performs the styles of many legendary guitarists of the country/western swing/rockabilly era. Orginally released in 1958 on Starday Records!!!
Thumbs Carllile, was an innovative American country music guitarist and songwriter known for his fingerstyle playing, sitting with his guitar in his lap while fretting, picking and strumming with his fingers and thumbs. He performed with Little Jimmy Dickens at the Grand Ole Opry in the early 1950s, and was a member of Roger Miller's band from 1964 to 1972

I just came across thumbs watching a Roger Miller video. Cool stuff. Springfield guitar social.. in reference I would guess to Ozark Jubilee in Springfield, MO, where so many greats got their start. Did thumbs tune his guitar in the standard way?

I WAS REAL HAPPY - STILL HAVE THE ALBUM.
I NOW HAVE ABOUT 3 COPIES OF THE STARDAY E.P IT IS ONE...THATS BILL WIMBERLEY'S BAND BEHIND THUMBS - WHO WAS THE GITTAR MAN IN HIS BAND.
