It should fit the Evo. I looked at the width and compared it to my 1200's width and they're about the same. So I'd say you're good on that. And the Dark Knight will definitely work with the 965

All CPUs come with a stock HSF, but if you plan on OC'ing, then I suggest you buy an aftermarket cooler.

Yes it fits the Temptest Evo...i have both and it keeps my e8400 under 52c at all times..idle at 39c. Tempest evo is great...not too loud but great air movement for this type of cooler.
