So, for my second Darkfall video, I decided (unwillingly) to show you how death works in this game. I hadn't leveled my magic skill too much, so I was doing considerably less damage than I had expected, causing me to die. Sorry for the long loading screen afterward, Fraps is a memory hog.

Anyways, in Darkfall, when you die - whether by a player or by a monster - you lose all your crap except for any starter weapons. Luckily I had just deposited most of my gold in the bank, but I was carrying my Horse with me. I was afraid I was going to lose it for good. Since I died by the hands of a monster, and no other players around, there was a chance that no one would loot my corpse and I'd be able to get everything back.

One additional thing I'd like to point out about Darkfall Online. The ambiance and music suit it so perfectly, its hard to describe unless you are playing it yourself. The music is eerily beautiful, and makes you actually feel a sense of fear while out there. You never know what or who is going to kill you at any moment. You can go from rags to riches and back again in this game, but remember, no one can ever take your leveled skills from you so make sure you don't ragequit because you can ALWAYS get your items back eventually.

Humans look chubby. Too ugly for my style. I always make then in any game i play, but this time, they look way too much out shaped. If i play DF, i will make a mahirim instead.

You have to remember that the people behind Darkfall focused on gameplay over graphics - which is the right way to do it. Consider it this way, look at Aion. Good graphics, absolutely terrible game. Yes, graphics attract people to it at the start, but they all leave after a while if the game is bad. This game may not appear to be as amazing graphic-wise, but remember youtube lowers the quality and it has amazing gameplay.

It really is packed a lot, right now I'm playing at an off time while most people are at work/school. I work in the evenings so I play at odd hours. Those 2 things represent the clan's ocean fortress or whatever they are called.

I was rushing to get back to my corpse, I was worried I'd lose everything - including my mount. If i happened to get ganked on my way back, I had almost no way to defend myself and it would just delay me further. At least if I DID get ganked, I'd have nothing for them.

just played a few hrs of the trial. it really is fucking awesome, my computer sucks so i had to play on low settings and still it looked better than most MMO's, well to me anyway. I usually a Graphics fanboy but when it comes to a game being a good as DF, i didnt care about graphics. I must say though, i lagg while playing, when im attacking something/someone. Kinda annoying, doesnt let you enjoy the game as much as you can. Though, i knew before i got trial my rig is outadate:)
