JBL ti10k, Pink Faun pre and power combo, Consonance droplet cd-player

A pair of JBL TI10K flagship loudspeakers of the ti range. They are powered by a Pink Faun combo and the source is a consonance droplet 5.0 cd-player. This combination works very well, although the jbl's could handle a little bit more power to tighten the bass. The song is from Burial and is called "etched headplate".

what's the power on the amplifier? it seems very underpowered ... the bass is uncontrolled

do you think these speakers work well with an oversamplign source, without tubes, just bags of solid state power?

@eug3nius The amp has about 50 watts a channel. The jbl's work better with a big amp when you are in a big room and need to listen loud. Solidstate will work, ofcourse, but look for a musical one..

I'm kicking myself now! I could have got these speakers for 900 pounds last year! They sound wonderful, beautiful midrange and treble and that bass doesn't sound shabby at all. What is the music you are playing by the way? I would like to get hold of it. Cheers
