Learn how to back up your Windows drivers from an existing Windows so that in case if you faced a Windows crash or wanted to format and re-install the Microsoft Windows you can use them to restore all your hardware drivers again.

  • Iam tiring to fix a laptop that wont start up i wanted to reformatted and reinstall windows xp but i dont know how backup the drivers since i cant start it up to use this programs what do you suggest i

  • @100PercentTy go to the laptop manufactures web site put in model number of laptop in and download drivers from there.

  • will this work if i backup from vista and restore with windows 7?

  • @LilBSOD Your drivers have got to be compatible for windows 7, but windows 7 finds alot of drivers when you install it.

  • Ok, So i have a windows Vista sp1, Just upgraded to a new win vista sp2 and i was wondering if the same drivers from sp1 would be compatable to sp2. Btw thanks for this video :) Used it on my win xp pc to recover my drivers x)

    I've just mailed you in relation to this particular video, as I'd like to have my desktop icons along the bottom of my screen as you do have here, but I'm not sure how to go about it.

  • @Britec09 If i backup my drivers from windows XP with DD , then format my computer and install windows 7 will they work? and how am i going to get this program after i just deleted it by formatting? dont you need a driver to go on the internet aswel?

  • Used Chily Driver Backup. Seemed to back up the drivers just fine. But won't let me restore them without purchasing the product.
