They fought alongside the CIA during the Vietnam War. And they've been paying for it ever since. About 7000 of them are still hiding in remote jungles, left behind by those lucky enough to flee. Al Jazeera's Tony Birtley is following their plight. In part three of his special reports, a brief reunion of sorts for one family.

My fellows. Stop waiting for the white men or UN to help because they're not going to! Why do you think General Vang Pao took matter into his own hand. Only problem was that his advisors were corrupted people who wanted the money for themselves. GVP has been collecting donations all these years from the Festivals, new years, lao families and they can't help these people? If you want to help then go to Laos, grab amos and head to the jungles.
I appreciate this white dude doing a documentary on the Hmong, BUT somebody SLAP him in the face For not Pronouncing HMONG Correctly the whole entire time.
it doesn't matter did what back then, the war is over, these people are helpless and just trying to survive, what purpose other then acts of hatred and evil for the Loas goverment and their soldeirs to still be hunting them down and killing them, including children and women. You have to be pretty heartless and evil to do such to these helpless people.
man sounds like you disagree with me. let me say this again so you understand. the NVA view the hmong ppl as traitors of southeast asia becuz we allow and sided with the americans to stop communism. Im sure the hmong people did their part in the vietnam war but im simply saying the chao fa people are dead people running around in the jungle. no one can save them and no one will go save them. they are doomed...understand me now.
