Dear YouTube I wish you would stop muting my videos!!!
I had to redux this video (and a few others) because YouTube does not like any copywritten music on them. Hey YouTube, its a video not a concert, and I bought the CD that the song was on. But dont worry, no one can hear the music while watching the video now..so I guess today is the day that the music died, eh?

Driving Directions:
From Hua Hin drive north on Phetchkasem Rd (going towards Bangkok).
Turn left onto Soi 6. Go over the railroad tracks, cross Canal Rd, go over the canal.
After the canal, turn right. Follow the small blue signs to the shooting range.

Guns Available:
Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum (Revolver)
CZ 9MM (Semi-Auto)
CZ .45 (Semi-Auto)

Cost:
1.One gun of your choice, Two targets, 25 Rounds of ammo: 750 Baht ($21.50 USD at 35 Baht to $1 USD)
2.One gun of your choice, Two targets, 50 Rounds of ammo: 1500 Baht ($43 USD at 35 Baht to $1 USD)

I took Ann to Hua Hin (Thailand) Shooting Club on 02 Dec 2008 to shoot her first gun (outside of an arcade, or Playstation 2).
The range was a decent outdoor with a roof type setup, and there was only one other customer on the range while we were there (A Thai man who has a brother going to Virgina Tech).
I told Ann to tell the lady working the front desk to let her look at the guns first so that she could pick one out that properly fit her hands, while I set up my camera.
By the time the two Thai ladies were done talking, Ann was holding a brick of a gun, a S&W .357 Magnum; guess something I said got lost in translation.
Any way she did exceptionally well with it, especially it being her first time out.

Watching her shoot, and hearing those distinctive pops got my trigger finger itchin.
I asked what kind of semi-autos they had (hoping they would have a Glock, H&K, or nice 1911 .45 for my evaluation) and the response was only CZ. Nothing I would really consider buying back home, so I opted for the CZ firing my longtime friendly 9MM round. Plenty good for paper punchin.

One of the range hands delivered my gun and ammo to my table on the firing line, hung up my targets, and then took a seat about 10 feet behind me.
I turned and asked if I could go ahead and get started, and Mr. Range Hand signaled yes.
The reason I asked is because this is not the normal action of said range hands at other shooting establishments that I have visited in Thailand.
Usually I am treated as though I have perhaps only fired a rubberband gun.
The clip is loaded and the action worked before the gun is turned over to me to merely squeeze the trigger ten times, before the gun is taken directly from my hands and the process restarted.
So, finally getting some free rein for a change was much appreciated.

Gun review:
As with other guns for rent that I have fired in Thailand, this one was well worn in.
The gun felt fine (rubber grips helped), not unusually heavy, recoil was normal, and I'm sure one day long ago it may have even delivered a round to where it was aimed instead of down and to the left.
After a couple of shots fired I began to realize what the shooting clubs cleaning procedures consisted of...an aerosol can of lube.
Lubricated gun powder was flying around, and I got a stain on my shirt.
I emptied the clip, removed the clip, pressed the slide release, and attempted to work the slide.
The slide was almost impossible to work by hand, and all of the lube on everything was not helping. I did manage to get it opened again, and vowed to just let the blow-back work the slide from then one.
I contributed this to practiced cleaning procedures as well, as a quick internet search did not return a mention of the same problem from other shooters of this handgun.

Anyway, we had a good time and after having to wait since May 2005 to squeeze a trigger, my right pointer finger was happy as well.
Being outside of the States tends to drastically cut into my shooting time.

Thanks for reading!
