It's too bad he didn't live longer. He had so many great songs left to play. It's sad. I have a Badfinger Bootleg from the "Straight Up" sessions, and there's a lot of great songs on that, which never got officially released.

That's the brilliance of Pete Ham. He could turn a good Joey Molland guitar riff into an amazing, rocking song with his incredible guitar playing. He made so many of Joey Molland's songs great (see "Suitcase," "Constitution," "Icicles," "Better Days," "Photograph," among others). In addition to being an unbelievable songwriter, he also could play a supporting band member like no other. I may get blasted for this, but I think he was better at what he did than any member of the Beatles.
