  • @darkblazer111 every animal is wild then, cats dogs etc...I have seen dogs and cats who attacked their owners, so wahts the difference?

  • the racoon had better stand up controll and a great hip lock and some great ground work by the racoon but the dog kept him at bay with a fantastic bite technique some great side controll demonstrated by both. sneaky sneeze attack though and i loved how the dog quickly got back to his legs and went to town on the neck but then the racoon applyed the dust buster maneuver to no avail then in the 3erd round the dog gets the verbal submission and the referee steps in and stops it.

  • @xissburg thousands of years of domestication...

  • My name is Cody and I want a pet raccoon:D but I live in new York and trying to work around the law against it. Anyone know a way that can happen?

  • @MsLabMom My point is wild animals have a stronger bite than a domestic pet. Even a Fox has needle sharp teeth sharper than that of a Dog.

  • @TheCajunGambit1 And a German Shepherd Dog bites harder than a cat...what is your point?

  • @xissburg Yes but a Raccoon probably would bite alot harder than a Dog or Cat can. I've seen people with pet Wolves and a wolf bite is twice as hard as a German Shepherd.

  • @dgnorthrup how did you get a pet raccoon! How do you care for it??

  • @hotpinkjaguar natobaden gives you good advice. However, if the mom won't take him, you need to come to a conclusion on this: Are you willing to put forth the necessary time to socializing, training, and caring for a wild animal? It will require a lot more effort and skill compared to doing the same with a dog, and unlike with a dog you're dealing with a non-domesticated and therefore somewhat unpredictable animal. Be sure to educate yourself continuously, and take things safely and slowly.

  • @xissburg Raccoons haven't been domesticated over hundreds of years. Most dog breeds are so domesticated and dependent on their owners that they'd never survive in the wild. If a dog/cat attacked their owner then that owner didn't train their pet properly. Racoons belong in the wild but if you're good at training animals, patient, around home a lot, a raccoon could be a good option for you. Most people who gave your comment a thumbs up probably just want a raccoon because they're cute.

  • @hotpinkjaguar feed him eggs and goats milk and put food out at nite the mom will come and get him we have 5 last year and 3 this year.
