So, we bought two mini's. One's a filly, the other is a colt.

The colt is mine, and the filly is my friend's.

He needed to get clipped, badly, so after buying a rather expensive pair of body clippers (THANKS DAD!), my friend Amanda & I buzzed the little boy clean :P
He was awesome and stood so good, even when I did his face the next morning. =]

  • Wow he turned out really nice, what brand are those clippers? I clipped my TB today, it took me 4 hours!!

  • They're the Oster brand :]

I recently clipped my friend's Paint gelding and it took us close to 4 hours.

With the mini's it takes about an hour, so its all good with them. xD

  • Thanks im thinking of getting new ones but they are so expensive, its crazy. I have another question lol, I live in south florida and the temperature is usually warm, and at night it can get to the 60's and during the day it can get to the 70's, should I blanket my horse? I just clipped him today, full body clip. He is in his stall all day and in the pasture all night.

  • Uhhhm. 60's really isn't too bad. Maybe just a light sheet on him, but really nothing more than a medium sheet at the most.

I body clipped my mini a bit too early this winter [ in like september ] and we didn't have a blanket for him yet, and he was outside when it was 40/50 at night, but he was fine.

So it's really your choice ^^

  • yea should clip a longer bridle path if you plan to show

  • we weren't showing, so i didnt bother with a longer bridle path.

  • He's a real cutie, but please wear safer footwear when working around horses, even Minnies

  • Are they fully body clipped

  • o.o I just thought your comment was funny. Around here, we normally dont blanket unless its going to be in the single digits. xD

  • okay, thanks :)
