"Lost between Elvis and suicide." That's a great line. Pretty sure that's what my mother felt like too. Guess it runs in the family 'cause I'm in the same place. Except...maybe switch Elvis for Gaga.
Being alone is not that bad when you accept that being a loner is part of you. Music is the only thing I've got now and it's gonna fucking suffice.

It's hard not to think about the fact that Taylor Momsen was -- what, barely seventeen? -- when the album came out, so sixteen at the oldest when this song was written. The line "I was nineteen" doesn't bother me in itself; it's fine for a singer to portray a character. I just wonder whether it's also fine for a person seemingly to grow up so young. Maybe.

@Clawdeeuhh1 this is one of her calmer songs. You want grunge or punk by her, then look up Make Me Wanna Die or Miss Nothing. This song is more classic rock and country-rock with a bit of pop. I swear, she'd be really popular if she was around in the 80s.

@KenzAnn98 I think you mean she is using a sampler of another track. Many artists do this, one example being Avril Lavigne who used the sampler of Use Somebody for her song Black Star. It's not an uncommon occurrence in music these days.
