Go on a tour of the DeLorean Motor Company's new production facility in Humble, TX. You, too, can get a brand new DeLorean just like Marty & Doc in Back to The Future, minus the time travel. (#1069, 2/23/08)

  • lovely car, i like the edgy design that was 70&80's "futuristic visionary looks" to it, however the engine needs significant power upgrades.

  • @Namord Roger. unleaded fuel.

  • @TheStellarReign: Your Delorean has to have class... Expect it to cost a bit lower than a new 'Vette.

  • @CanadianWorkDivers: The Flux Capacitor used electricity to allow 4th dimensional travel, but the car itself consumed unleaded fuel. It always had.

  • I was just there today!

  • @gmcubed

    me too ...!

  • this guy needs to build a new 2012 delorean the dmc 25, 25,000 350+hp v6 with turbo that gets atleast 28 miles to the gallon that would be killer and i would buy one

  • @Jamie10004

Odds are, it is a 1981. When DMC does their "new builds" they mix and match bonnets. So a early 81 car that should have the gas flap, may have the bonnet from a 1983 model. But it is still an 81 model. You can no longer tell the year of a DeLorean by looking at the bonnet. But you can always tell from looking at the VIN

  • i had to lol a little there is a delorian for sale now here in australia has been keept in a climate controled shipping container all of its life was shiped over from america i think in 1997 from memory VIN 9236686 sold new by Lewis Dodge, Oklahoma on 23rd December 1981 and travelled only 2,075 original documented miles from new

  • What are they using now to generate the 1.21 Jigowatts of electricity used to run this bitch?
