I was very proud to be a Georgia Tech fan that year..we were simply overmanned and outmatched...predicted to finish as bad as 8th in the ACC and make it to the final game of the year is not bad. It was a great season

Gt was just outmanned. They had a great squad with a lot of very solid players, they just couldnt hang with okafor.

@sciontcdude It's a shame the Okafur had to get drafted by the Bobcats, or else I think he could have developed into a much better NBA player like everyone thought he would be. He has the talent and is still young enough to resurrect his NBA career and really become a solid player, if he's in the right situation with the right team.

wow.. uconn had more points in the early parts of the second half in the 2004 title game, than butler ever had in the 2011 title game

we had like 5 or 6 players who went on to play in the nba and 3 or 4 of them are still in the nba .dam nasty team

Man this game was on my bday and I was gtech fan fucking sucked, anyways the first half killed us we decided to play in the second half and we couldnt hit a damn free throw

@cschnei08 EXACTLY how I felt. The UConn Duke semi final game was a 1999 rematch. Epic game. This game bored me, however I did celebrate like a rabid monkey at the end

Oklahoma State choked in the Semi's imo. They were very good all season and should have beaten GTech. A Huskie-Cowboy final would have been more competitive.

This game was weak. Everyone knew UConn was gonna win. The big game was in the Final Four when UConn burned Duke despite Okafor only playing one half.
