Man I fucking miss old MTV Back when it was unique and weird and somewhat strange but more importantly it was all about Rock N Roll and Rock Stars. Now it's just commercialized, water downed bullshit specifically aimed at satisfying consumer driving masses with no sense of individuality. Let me see a thumbs up from those of you that would like to bring back the old MTV.....WHO'S WITH ME???????

It's never coming back, sorry. The internet's taken over the music market. All MTV has been doing since 1999 is struggle to hold onto even the slightest relevance, getting more and more desperate as the years have gone on. Besides, the late 80's/early 90's was the commercial and critical peak of hard rock (at what other point have bands as different as Metallica, Nirvana, and Aerosmith all be huge with the same audience?). Sadly, that peak will never be rivaled.
