This was the very heart of GW's inner circle... complete liars. We can debate politics and policy... but these firings, the incident in the hospital, the outing of Plame through Cheney's office (even though I know there were other sources) to get back at Joe Wilson for telling the truth... the sad thing is such a small man can rise to this position and get put through this by and for someone like Bush. Don't forget Harriet Meyers was nominated to the Supreme Court and she was totally clueless

I think it's fair to classify Arlen Specter as one of the most honest politicians of our time. Even though I'm a Democrat, I would've gladly voted for him when he ran for President back in 1996.

I watched some of these proceedings when I was out of town. Gonzalez got raped on all sides. He is an absolute despicable liar. Specter said so himself, so did every democrat on the committee. So did Jeff Sessions, who usually is the most Republican senator I can think of. Gonzalez lied about the firings of the attourneys. He lied about the illegal aliens. He committed blatant perjury under oath of office. That isn't just grounds for resignation. Gonzalez belongs in jail.
