Gold Tone BG-250 Banjo Demo @ House of Musical Traditions

House of Musical Traditions in Takoma Park, MD (just outside of Washington DC) is a dealer for Gold Tone instruments. Here we have Mark Sylvester, one of our teachers, demonstrating the BG-250 banjo model.

The coolest feature of this banjo is that it's "convertible." It's a resonator banjo (great for bluegrass), but you can easily remove the resonator and brackets for a genuine old-time openback banjo! If you want to have options for different styles of music, or just sometimes don't need the added volume and weight of the resonator, this banjo is for you!

The BG-250 has planetary tuners, a maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, mahogany resonator, brass sand cast tone ring and bone nut.
