If you watch the entire video, you'll get sense for how chart downloads are currently handled. My estimate is that with a reasonably fast WiFi connection, the largest of charts seem to take around 5 minutes to download. The developer is working on a simpler and faster download procedure for a future release.

  • How easy is it to download charts and diagrams for offline usage?

  • @cptndavis

If you have the next chart cached, it automatically sequences. If you don't have the chart cached but you have a wifi connection, it will automatically sequence but it will be a bit slower.

There is some oddness where the charts join, but that's more a function of the way that Aeronav produces sectionals and low-altitude IFR en route charts that it is a shortcoming in SkyCharts Pro.

  • Hi..

Thanks for the informative tour. What using a sectional, what happens when you scroll to the end of the chart? If you have the next chart cached, will it automatically sequences so you can continue panning or do you have to select another chart?
