@tedvelvet Actually it isn't a song at all its a poem by M. Considine like Raglan Road written by P Kavanagh and put to the tune "dawning of the day" by Luke Kelly. Although you are right there is tonnes of alternative lyrics my dad himself had 4 different verses he used to sing to my mam when they where younger. Nice enough version Prodeoetpatria1691 you are well out of order theres no need for the language.
