  • @tedvelvet you are right :3 and @proAndSoOn you not.

  • I love this version. It's a sad song but a good one.

  • i have read the history of this song and there are many different versions . and what everversion its still a great song . end of arument

  • @tedvelvet actually the right song is "mac the rangers daughter"

  • @ tedvelvet, you are right sir there are many different versus, if you have ever heard the Dubliners they sing different lyrics on differnet Cd's as does Christy Moore and Shanne McGowan i dont think anyone can question them

  • great tune one of my favorites 2 sing in the pub...fair play

  • @DIZZYGIT shit, most the irish-americans would do that same =]

  • not bad. i think Cruachan does a better version but that's only because its an older fellow singing it. the song sounds odd when sung by a youngling.

  • @nuria716

    super great??

  • @tedvelvet Actually it isn't a song at all its a poem by M. Considine like Raglan Road written by P Kavanagh and put to the tune "dawning of the day" by Luke Kelly. Although you are right there is tonnes of alternative lyrics my dad himself had 4 different verses he used to sing to my mam when they where younger. Nice enough version Prodeoetpatria1691 you are well out of order theres no need for the language.
