OMG people really, most deaf people learn how to lip read. thats how she's able to understand what people are saying. she cant talk, well she can but you really cant understand it. and she cant HEAR cuz if she could hear then the sign langauge wouldnt be necessary and she could just speak. but because she's deaf and cant HEAR.. meaning she cant hear her own voice thus she cant speak, well she can but kind off hard to understand. agh nevermind.. hope this helped.

@Fevrure I learned from a sign language course that some deaf people can read lips very well. I'm guessing that's how she knows what they're saying.
