My mates used to take the piss out of me for liking Hendrix when we were Punks in the late 70's/early 80's, I used to tell them just listen to its brilliance but they couldnt get their heads round Jimi sitting in between the UK Subs and Discharge. Fools, music is music. Still less Fleetwood Mac's first LP, pure dirty city Blues, not like that wollowing 70's Coke stuff they did at all. Personally, Punk and Blues sounded similar to me. Especially Robert Johnson era Blues.
