  • Well let's see - if John Mayer is 29 years younger than Joe that would make him about 3 or 4 years old? No comment.

Mayer was never a teen idol.

I'm not undermining Bonamassa's talent; quite the contrary. I just hate it when peole try to put Mayer down. I say both are great on their own terms.

  • It's a terrible thing that people have to compare two players as different as Mayer and Bonamassa and somehow there HAS to be a winner in order for them to sleep at night. It's a waste of time and a discount to the talent that each of them has. Joe's playing kicks me in the nuts and John's kicks me in the soul. I'm cool with both. Just love the music people.

  • Mayer and Bonamassa are two of the best guitarists of our day hands down. Neither is better than the other, theyre just different. Bonamassa shreds with a slightly more technical appeal, but Mayer has just as much soul and voice in his playing as anyone. If you think either are better are worse, you obviously have a lot to learn about blues music.

  • Mayer/Bonamassa coop album? I'd LOVE to hear something like that!

  • @Halliday7895

Yeah, Bonamassa is much less mainstream and caters to his much more refined blues afisionado audience. I think he's absolutely brilliant, and I actually think he is a great song writer. I just don't think that two awesome guitar players/musicians should be compared when talking about skills and talent. It's an exercise in futility--its what I said also in my old comment.

I agree, it's good that we have them to keep the blues tradition going.

  • @regelemihai John Mayer is more of a song writer and joe is more of an axe slinger but john can do both...joes great but not a great songwriter. thats just my opinion obviously, but mayer did write your body is a wonderland and daughters and no such thing...all teen idol success songs...if you go to a mayer show you still see wayyy more little kids than at a Bonamassa show the funny thing is you see SRV and Hendrix fans at both! Im just glad we have them to keep the blues alive in pop culture.

  • @regelemihai lets see..i type ''mayer'' and i reach this video with joe.so i like mayer and i want to hear him again cause i want to get used his experimental voice and guitar playing and lately end up my blue earworld or pop or something that he must finally chose!! BUT NEVER FORGET that JOE IS A GUITAR GENIUS!!!with wonderfull voice, wonderfull dirty beasty guitar playing and character!!!!!no selfish teen boy like john and more accomplished musician!!

  • friggin right kicker

  • with which camera is recorded? thanks, very good video !!!

  • @thespiderspeed no such thing as pop music, pop is simply popular by that definition than a blues song that is popular would be classified as pop music, and john has always been into blues, but he just started commercially into mainstream music, but as a kid, he was heavily influenced by SRV

  • @samjp4 They both were born on '77 lol
