i need to do that to my 94 honda, but its so rusted out that there is no metal left where the holes are, all of the metal is turning to dirt, i guess my car has cancer!

is that by any chance an 87 to 96/97 ford truck panel? looks just like what i had to stare at for weeks trying to fix rust on, just to have it come back because rust reformer isnt that great of a product.....

@ld309 Thank you, Are knowledgeable in terms of a Mitsubishi FTO 1995 and older models, well I have a 1995 FTO and rust bubbles have occurred at the front and back on the top of the car.

@prettiwiki Obviously the sooner you catch rust and repair it the better, and easier to treat obviously. If the rust patch on your roof is small and hasn't yet rotted through, which I'm guessing is the case otherwise you'd have a rather damp roof lining, then, yes, give this a try. Using this method isn't meant to stop rust completely though, rust is a natural occurance on cars that haven't got coated bodies. But this method will slow the rust down and cover the problem, if its minor rust.

@ld309 Thanks for your information, So I was warned on my last MOT to get roof rust repaired, it has not gone through yet , would I be able to pass using this method, I've been told if you don't do it before you get it checked then they would make you weld it, whats your opinion on this? Thank you

@prettiwiki an example of this would be the sills underneath the doors, minor surface rust wont be a problem but if it were rotted through it would be an MOT failure. on load bearing areas such as the sills, rust wouldnt be effectively remedied using the method used in the video, and would probably require welding done to pass the MOT test.
