@gjpshallow it's a dainese knee shin gueard, the older one with net behind the knee and low straps just above the ankle.

how deep is your grind? I want mine to sound like that. I have blue rockpads on my koxx giacomo coustellier v1, its just i want a deeper grind and it to sound like that!

@THEbenmortimer echo sl or tr rims make a good grind. Other rims, for example try-all are harder to make a good grind on, it's a fact.

yes, grinded echo sl rim with rock pads, but now I am using TNN lgm pads

thebenmortimer try putting a bit of tar round your rims wher the brakes are not to much if u dont like it u can always take it off with a chisel
