Every new generation thinks it has to rewrite what was so beautiful in it's original form It is man's vanity and weakness unfortunately, just leave what is already inspired alone please, you cannot go to church anymore and sing praise because some new younger person thinks that he/she can improve on what was already made, again it is just folly and vanity!

Beautifully sung - but why do some people think it is a good thing to 'murder' a beautiful hymn set to a beautiful tune and replace it with this inferior garbage. Then the big question is after someone writes this trash why do some people chose to sing it? Compare this with Be Thou My Vision set to the traditional tune, Slane? Ghastly - I am sorry but this tune is awful and destroys one of the most beautiful hymns in the English Language. Would love to hear you sing the correct version.

Gar nicht mal so schön... zwischen Musik und Tönen besteht eben ein Unterschied...
Be thou my vision... oder eben auch nicht - so klingt das
zu schnell, zu langweilig, zu laut, ohne dynamik, eigentlich schade, wo der Chor gewiss das Potential für eine bessere Interpretation hätte...

BTMV (Slane) is one of the great melodies, right up there with the Londonderry Air and a few others. You don't mess with a classic tune. Chilcott has no respect...

Und ich hab versucht, durch das ";)" auszudrücken, dass ich das Oranienquartett doch besser als uns eingeschätzt habe. (Nein, ich meine nicht, dass wir schlecht waren :D)
