McCain, Obama Differ Dramatically on Health Care

Squaring off in the second of three debates, Sens. Barack Obama and John McCain disagreed on health care. Obama described health care as a 'right,' while McCain said it was a 'responsibility.' (Oct. 7)

There is something very wrong with a government that is willing to spend 120 Billion dollars a year and sacrifice the lives of its young men and women, to give Iraqis their "Freedom", but refuses to spend far less than half of this so that its citizens can have proper Health care and not worry about loosing their house because they or their child is ill!

That is discraceful for a country that calls itself a world leader. Demand more from your Government People!

Idiot! This is not only about receiving free subsidized health care. I have health insurance and I pay for it myself. I don't beg my employer to buy it for me. Do you really need to have one of your family member get their medical treatment denied before you understand what Obama is trying to accomplish. Our health care systems sucks. They actually hire people to review & deny medical claims. The more medical claims they deny, the more $ they are paid. Think about it!!!

I don't understand why anyone would disagree with you. Where in the world do they get the idea of receiving bad care if we are on a universal health care system. The care we get now is not even great! People need to wait on average for a month to see a specialist. They must have referral papers from their current doctors and most doctor visits are brief and short. 10-15 minutes is the max time your doctor will spend with you, and that is after you have waited for them for an hour.

I wanted to say that universal health insurance works great in western world. I know some people worry about the care they would get but,it is the best that can happen at last we the people the citizens get something in this spending spree,picture this;government has health insurance for free anyway that we pay for, also the poor have medicare that we pay for in taxes. And if we all got health insurance it would save us money... think about it, you wouldn't have to pay for your health insurance.

For Halloween, some kid cam up to me dressed as Obama. I promptly took his candy bag, took about 50% of his hard earned candy, and gave it to some kids that were too lazy to dress up and go trick or treating.

He thanked me, and came back a few minutes later dressed as McCain.

Obama has already won actually! And McCain is kind of losing it, NO question about it! 5000 dollars for tax refunds?! What on earth is he thinking?? He is just manipulating and bribing the electors so that they will elect him! America doesn´t need a war hero, they need a modern president who is liberal and above all humane. :)
