The past decade has seen the continual rise of East London as a creative hub, layered with cultural diversity. The area around Andaz London has emerged as a hip and eclectic map of hidden streets and intriguing locations. Eastern Thinking celebrates this, and takes you on a tour of personal discovery and interpretation.
The Jason Bruges Studio, founded in 2002, creates installations, sculptures and environments that focus on interaction with the individual and the environment. Recent works include temporary installations for Tate Britain, Victoria and Albert Museum, and the London Architecture Biennale. Permanent works can be seen at the award winning Puerta America Hotel, Madrid or in the public realm in interactive street lamps in Leicester and interactive way finding installations along the A13 motorway, London. The studio's latest work is an 8 storey high interactive Chandelier in London's Spitalfields.
