  • I sure do remember the cost $3000.00 , but remember this included two attachment a roto tiller and i think we had the 52'' under mount rotary deck .

  • @steelwheels327 do you remember how much you paid? I have a '77 Gravely 812 and have been wondering for a while how expensive they were back then...I imagine quite a lot

  • That is direct drive, so that is how the piston rods break.

  • That rotary plow is sweet! I can't wait to try mine out in the spring. I have three Model L tractors, ones a 1960 regular L, then a 1956 LI, and a 59 Gravely LI postal service. I call myself the "gravelyman" but gravelyfreak is even better! lol Are you on MyTractorForum by any chance? I'm on there fairly often, it's a great forum for tractors.

  • Gravelys are so versatile! wish to come across one some day.

    very nice machine!

  • I remember we bought an 812 rider in the summer of 76 and the tractor was included with the sale of the house 30yrs later. Its a shame Gravely sold their name to Ariens ....now they are not much better than any Home Depot Cub Cadet special.

  • gravelys are the best i have a Gravely Pro 50 commercial walkbehind has 2000 hours on it and still is great

  • ebay dot com. like, right now man. they are extremely rare. only the gangs are on there. you also need to get the 30" reel. I think it would just be better to buy a new gravely. those reel mowers are a lot of maintanence. by the way, they have a 72 inch cut because they over lap so much...

    have fun

  • Nice Gravely movie! I have two Gravelies, one L8 and one L5, sickle mower, rotary mower, rotary plow, cultivator and snow blower. Puzzling whether or not to buy new power unit to save the implements. Would buy the 84" 3-gang reel mower. Have you seen one?
