  • its a shame to se the great jahre viking just lying as an FSO.........

  • Great video, and yes, I guess respect is due to both.

What you would need to do is set them side by side when empty/unloaded.

It's worth remembering that the Jahre Viking(Knock Nevis) is 5 times heavier than the Emma Maersk!.

  • the Knock wasn't just bigger than the Emma.. it was A LOT bigger !! I live on the Great lakes and see 1000' ore ships all the time.. they're little canoes next to the Knock. It's sickening that she couldn't have been kept as a static display as a testament to man's great achievments.

  • @Bleuesoul89 u dont even know what gross tonnage means, it measures the volume not the weight! Emma Maersk is still longer, wider, and heavier than oasis of the seas, so it is bigger.

  • Emma Maersk gotta nice ass 0:51

  • @Samselicious she's already scrapped dude;)

  • @2011LEGOFAN True but the Jahre Viking is over 30 years old. Emma Maersk is within 7 years old. Emma Maersk will look like that in less than 30 years. Also, The Jahre Viking has been sunk in Afghanistan... Doesn't look too bad after being risen from the dead

  • Knock Nevis didn't work for Maersk, It was owned and operated by First Olsen Tankers.

  • Even though Knock Nevis is bigger, I say Emma Maersk is better because-look at that rusty old piece of ship! the Knock Nevis is very rusty at most times.

  • knock nevis rely solely on steam propulsion but emma maersk use combined diesel and steam, the boiler on the emma maersk lack of firebox as it produce steam from the main engine's exhaust to drive the stream turbine, on the port the caterpillar engine are used as auxiliary unit. another form of combined diesel and steam is the steam is separately injected into the engine actively modifying compression and after burning on the main engine strongly reduce fuel usage and emission.

  • i think this ship went guyana ounce

  • NOOO I FUCKING LOVE YOU KNOCK NEVIS!
