This is my new favorite song off of Hello Hurricane. I haven't played piano for probably 14 years, so I had to blow some proverbial dust off my fingers hahah. Guitar is so much easier to be cool with...not that I would know. This video is pretty crappy, but I plan on uploading this again with "Jon's help" LOL.

This is the song "Always" off of Switchfoot's latest, Hello Hurricane.

  • Hey sorry I took so long to answer. Hahah, I have 2 birds also but I'll make sure to not record my projects when they are around lol. Well, it would be nice if you did a Tutorial with this song, it's a favorite. I was looking at your vid's & you have over 200, that's phenomenal! You have almost all Switchfoot songs-5 Stars for that! Keep up the great talent :)

  • @MarisaJCfreakk I once was a young boy, and now I'm an old man, haha. Thanks for replying.

Yes, I have a lot of videos, but it's more quantity than quality heheh. I'm trying very hard not to record stinkers nowadays :).

I'm been very lazy with the tutorials but that sounds like a good idea.

  • @MarisaJCfreakk Actually, the song is not too difficult.

LH starts by playing middle C and the RH plays E and C an octave about. Like this!

    LH: C C C C C C C C

    RH: E C E C E C E C

    LH: F F F F F F F F

    RH: E C E C E C E C

    LH: A A A A G G G G

    RH: E C E C E C E C

    LH: F F F F F F F F

    RH: E C E C E C E C

  • @MarisaJCfreakk Chorus:

    LH: A A A A F F F F

RH: Same as verse for all chorus:

    LH: C C C C F F F F

    LH: A A A A G G G G

    LH: C C C C C C C C

  • @MarisaJCfreakk Sorry, I just realized that that probably the stupidest explanation I've ever done.

  • good cover man! just keep tempo with the piano :)

  • @justKevin213 Yeah I lost it quite a few time :)

  • Can you make a tutorial for the interlude and bridge?

  • @MarisaJCfreakk Yes, my bird has to suffer through all my musical experiments. I'm a lot more comfortable with this song now, I kinda rushed this video all the way back then LOL. Thanks for commenting!
