More tributes to the Show-me State. Wonderful version of a grand old classic tune. This clip is from the "Salute To The USA" episode of the "Lawrence Welk Show."

  • Great song Charlie.......... the very beginning with the drums reminded me of the song "Sing Sing Sing" by Benny Goodman.

  • Ol' L.T. used to be considered square but I mean cubed. However for a time he devoted a part of his show to great old swing arrangements as this one with guys like Ol' "Peanuts" doin his thing. Like I said, "Where you have good muscians anything is possible". Hot damn.

  • @navydoctrinidad Thanks Sir Charlie Whene ever I'd point him out to my mom she always askes who would name their kid Peanuts now I know

  • Very talented but I don't remember him from the show...was he before or after Henry Cuesta? or did he just make guest appearances? LOL Bob Ralston looks so young!

  • Great stuff Charlie. A super arrangement and you can tell Mr. Welk and the band enjoyed it too. Thanks for posting!!!
