I can't here any whine noises from the HDD. Well the noise outside is the street being repaired... Gallardón... joking he's a cool guy (Note: I live in Madrid, Spain, Gallardón is the mayor of the city).

Slowy Vista... we are linux fanboys here.

By the way, it's 16th January, as you can see there, Dell said at first it will be arriving today, the said 31st, then UPS called for 17th. Finally it was 16th which has been a nice surprise.

Windows doing who-knows-what... Let's pray it's ok... Yep, it's much funnier if it's glossy...

No way, that's the only thing that was a bit messy, althought all the Windows issues you'll never get rid of (I just use it for gaming anyway). Get a 64 bits Vista version, it's really sweet.

It's Vista, when I installed the 64 bit version it was just the same (well, maybe a bit faster).

To be fair it's not Vista that's making it slow, it's uncompressing the OS files. All laptops take ages the first time you switch them on but once it's configured it boots up really fast!
