I took this video in 1992 shortly before getting out of the Air Force under the voluntary seperation program mandated under the Gramm-Rudman act. Back then the government believe we had too many people in the military in middle supervisory positions so they forced our hand by threatening a riff. Most of us got out rather than loose it all. It was basically an early retirement after 13 years of federal service. I've fallen out of touch with the people I knew back then and would like to hear from them again should they view this video. As with all things in life, we usually miss what we had and think how wonderful it was after never realizing its worth when it was actually happening.

  • Man, Lighten up AGEnot$longRanger! Your inmaturity is showing. Sometimes you need to step back and take a look at the bigger picture. There is always time for fun but the mission has to come first sometimes. Only when you change the way you look at things will the things around you change. Hope you find peace in your life.

  • i was assigned to the 603rd from '87 till '91, those were the best 4 years of my shortened career. I worked the flightline.

  • Yeah I really enjoyed my time there too! Take it easy Skizz!

  • I just left there 4 months ago and all I can say is I WISH i was in Kadena back then, nowadays its all absolute QA bullshit and broke equipment.....BASEBALL i shot a basketball ONCE and got told to get back to work. Love the memories and touches me though all I wanted to do was leave. 12 hour shifts just to please BULLSHIT shop Supervisors. Sucks such a great place has turned into a hell hole for all airmen. ALL the airmen and most NCO's hate there life there....poor AGE.

  • OH MY GOD, this video is like i took it. I was stuck while watching it cuz it brought back so many memories. I went TDY to Kadina from Travis AFB, to help clean up all the ash from the equipment that came from Clark AFB when that volcano erupted and they had to ship out all the AGE to Okinawa. We used to play baseball in the back of the shop on break time. Man this is an AWESOME Video and thanks for sharing so all of us who were there can enjoy it. THANKS

  • I am currently an AGE Ranger in the USAF (3.5 years now). I enjoyed the video quite a bit. It's amazing how things back then till now have NOT changed! Ha ha. If I didn't know this video was shot in 1992, I would have assumed it was recent!! Take care.

    -DINSTAAR BABY-!!!!!!!!! OHHHH YEAH!!
